David M. Bodine, 41, arrived at the woman's Wildwood Avenue home drunk and demanded to get inside around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, East Lansdowne police said.
He would not leave and assaulted the woman and her elderly dad, authorities said. That's also when Bodine threatened to kill the family and burn down their house, according to police.
"The homeowner feared for her family's lives and discharged a legally owned handgun, striking Bodine in the leg," police said.
Bodine fled the scene, but later returned and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Anyone with information on Bodine's whereabouts is urged to call 911.
